Message: when i floor my r/t at about 60 or 70 my trucks rpms start climbing like normal and all feels well but a litle over 3000 rpm it drops 200 or 300 rpm then starts climbing again, its almost like it bogs for just a second but then picks back up . it is mashed to the floor when this happens and im not letting up at all . i used to have a 1995 isuzu rodeo that did the same thing but i never did anything about it , and just dealt with it. it doesnt cut out or anything cause its still accelarating when it does it , it just hestates a bit. what is this ???? any replies are appreciated

Message: Someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe what you describe is the dreaded "torque management" on our trucks. Mine does it also, it has something to do with the torque converter locking up. Could someone w/more knowledge on this subject elaboarte?

Message: You are half right Joey. It is the torque converter locking up, but has nothing to do with the "torque managment" function of the PCM. The only way I have found to get around the bog it to continually hit the OD on/off button until it rev up to where it woudl shift into OD.
