Message: Ok this first one is going to sound stupid but I need to double check anyway. Is the rear diff cover on a 2000 4.7L 4WD w/ 3.55 in it, a 9.25" cover? Also, does anyone know if the Gibson dual exhaust rear exit cat back system will fit with out removing the spare tire? If not, what about the gibson duals that exit behind the passengers rear wheel? Last stupid question, I currently am running 32x11.5 R15 with the stock rimsand I have a very minimal rub at full turning radius, if I go with aftermarket deepdish rims, will the tires rub worse?

Message: About the rear end,
If you look under the back, Not get under it to read the tag, the 9.25 has a sort of hexagonal, or maybe it's octagonal shape from the rear. (It has straight edges like a stop sign)
Whereas the 8 and a whatever has a pretty round case.
Hope that helps.

I believe all 4.7's come with the 9.25. But check jsut to be sure.

If it does it will be tight. I only have about 4" on my 2wd truck for clearance...

Maybe crank up the torsion bars instead???

Message: According to my gibson catalog they do not make a split rear for your truck.

Message: Dont use duals they kill low end torque and with a cammer motor thats what ya want to keep. on the axle check the option tag under the hood it should tell ya, i thought however that all daks came with the 8.25 suck axle. however could be wrong

Message: Easy way to tell which rear axle you have count the bolts, 9.25 is a 12 bolt, 8.25 is a 10 bolt
