Message: Remove the clutch fan. It requires a 1-7/16" wrench. If you have two fans, the other is electric. It sits right against the radiator, not on the pulley on the engine. You should use some sort of thermal switch. I use the perma-cool that is adjustable from 160-210 degrees. I have mine set around 170-180. Just install the sensor somewhere (like the frame), push the probe through the radiator fins, and wire it up. Run the fan wire from the switch to the green wire on your factory fan. Don't cut the green wire. Use one of the scotch-lock connectors that comes with the switch kit, and attach the two wires together. Run the ground wire. Then run the fused wire (large and red) to the battery or fuse box. Somewhere that is a constant 12V power source. That's it. Your fan will come on at the preset temperature or when the A/C comes on. Hope that helps.

Message: There ARE other options, that many, including myself are doing.
No belt clutch/fan
Nothing else- well, usually a 180 degree t-stat.
Troy's method is also good advice.
