Message: ran my first ever drag today in my stock except for dual flowmstr 00 reg cab r/t on street tires
my best was 9.78 in the 1/8 and i'm officially
addicted to bracket racing!need a set of light
wheels and slix for easy changing at the track
and so as not to destroy the stockers which only have 10k on them, any suggestions on brands, sizes
where to buy, etc?plan to do a 2/4 drop and the
usual filter thermostat perf chip upgrades, which
mods will giv most results at the track and can be performed by an idiot w/help from a semi idiot?

Message: to kicker01 it was an 1/8 mile track only like most in my area,i think our closest 1/4 mile tracks are 200 miles away, read in another forum someone complaining about thr dropoff of power when the truck hits 3rd on the track,i noticed the same thing but think i'll try to run it out in 2nd next time which of course wouldnt work in the 1/4 but may improve time in th 1/8,my mph
on all five runs was just under 70,any suggestions on how to get the r/t to hook up
will be greatly appreciated asi said b4 lookin for
some slicks and lite wheels and maybe traction
bars or are they a waste of money??

Message: hey danny, i have a '93 CC 5.2L K&N filter, headers, and a flowmaster and my best 1/8 time was 10.24, not bad for having over 114,000 miles on it...last weekend was my first time at the strip also and i agree bracket racing is very fun and addicting,

Message: joel thanx for the reply, and yeah these trux r turning very respectable times-lots of folks surprised(including me!)at our local track where
things are dominated by big block chevys in late 60s muscle cars as well as some pro mods and dragsters,i was 1 of only about 5 cars running
saturday that to me is a true steetable daily driver and i was second only to a pretty well hopped up 5.0 mustang found everybody real supportive and friendly of my first efforts your
mods sound rite in line with what i've got planned
wish u had run the truck b4 doing them so we'd know how much impact they had,by theway does any body know the formula to correct times to sea level? or how to guestimate what an 1/8 mile run
wouldve worked ou to b in the 1/4?
