Message: If you have predetonation-pinging, knocking, same thing; then the higher octane gas will reduce the tendency to do this.
I'm not going to go into it here as to why, etc., if you don't have any knocking, you don't need higher octane gas. If you have knocking, it will help get rid of it and increase performance some in the case of a predetonation engine.
