Subject: K&N Valve Cover Filter IP: Logged
Message: I was taking a look at this site, http://www.t-bolt.org/Mike/_pages/dodge/engine.htm, and I noticed there was a K&N Valve Cover Filter on the right side of the engine if your facing the front of the truck. What exactly does this do and why isnt there one on the other side. And does anyone know what you would use to take the place of the pipe that goes into the intake manifold from the crank case??? If this is a good mod where can I but the K&N Valve Cover Filter? Thanks

Message: This is a breather and eliminates the PCV valve. I have a small K&N for mine that I ordered from a speed shop. A K&N dealer should be able to help you find what you need. From what i've seen and heard there aren't any real proformance benifits besides keeping the PCV valve from dumping oil into the intake when it sticks open.
