Subject: Double Roller Chain IP: Logged
Message: Could anyone tell me which numbers to use on a JP double roller timing chain? There are number for the inside sprocket and numbers on the outside by the teeth. The are offset some, I'm guessing I would use the inside numbers but I want to be sure. Plus how much can I retard the cam? -10,-8,-6 degress before I hit the valves to the pistons?
Thanks

Message: the numbers on the inside is where you install it on the crank keyway. the outside number is where you would "line up the dots" (crank gear dot at 12 o'clock, cam gear dot at 6 o'clock).
sorry can't help with your second question.
