Subject: Anyone know what a code "14" is? IP: Logged
Message: So on my way to work today, my engine light came on. When I got to work I pulled the code and got a "14". I dont have my Haynes manual with me. So anyone know what code "14" is?
Thanks

Message: 14 = MAP sensor voltage below .16V or over 4.96V
I don't know how accurate that is, because my buddies V6 is showing code 45, which says that his turbo boost limit was too high, LOL!

Message: Thanks guys for the code description. I am assuming that probably means the sensor is bad?? Any other possibilities? What do you think? Thanks.

Message: About two weeks ago, I replaced the coolant temp sensor, plugs (3923's), wires, dist cap, and put a 180 t-stat. It ran beatiful then.
Since then, it has started idling a little rough and this morning it stalled (that was when the engine light came on). Other than that it runs fine. Thanks.

Message: If it died and threw that code, I would go ahead and get a new sensor. Really easy to install and can't be that expensive. Good luck.

Message: Thanks Joe. The sensor is $55 from Autozone. I'll go ahead and try replacing it and hope that fixes the problem.
By the way, I looked up the code "45" on
http://dodgeram.org/tech/gas/Trouble/pcm_fault_code.htm
It reads, "Transmission OD solenoid circuit failure. Open or short in the transmission overdrive solenoid circuit"

Message: Hmm... It doesn't have an OD either. I think we will just continue to tell people that his turbo has exceeded maximum boost.
