Message: Other than gears and power adders the only thing left would be a performance Torque converter. I hear that it gives the biggest gains in off the line jump for a N/A engine other than gears. the LSD, steeper gears and a Torque converter should easily cut .5 off your time. The problem would be putting the power to the ground. What kind/size tires are you running? The size makes a "big" difference in acceleration and traction, especially when comapring +/-2inch tire sizes.

Yes , getting power to the ground is a must. How about a set of traction bars or something ?
Tires , Gears , stall , and traction bars ...I think would do alot.

Message: D how much for the gear set?
I am in need of some tires. I have 255 70 R 15.
I have Traction Bars; need to get the rubber snubbers back on. Fell off when I was in the dirt.
Torque converter will be installed when I get the tranny rebuilt, whenever that goes out 65,000 miles on her so far.
On a budget, have to do mods economically.
Electric fan made a difference it definitely free's up HP top end. I put in on over a year ago and had no problems even in the Ca desert with over heating until I was going through the Grape Vine mid Sept; stop and go traffic real hot. Lets just put it this way it was close. After that happened the fan doesn't seem have the RPM it used to have. Maybe the heat did something to the motor, but it has been fine so far being winter and all. I would recommend that mod.
I was thinking about flashing my stock PCM. I don't know though with gas prices.
Thanks for the advice
