Ok, my grandpa has a 03 Ram with a hemi, he just crashed it a few days ago and he is getting a different truck. He says that his mechanic looked at it and the engine is fine. He today suggested to me that he would like to see me put it in my truck and swap it from my V6. I know there is a lot of work to be done to make this work. I just wanted to know what you guys thought by the way my truck is a 98 V6 4x4 i think it would be sweet.Your suggestions are appreciated.

if your grandpa is willing to help you along the way, financialy then do it, cause it will take time and will cost alot because if his trans is ruined then you have to buy the hemi trans, i dont know how much but i definitly think it will be worth it, because then you have a 350 horse dak and thats without a super, and i think blue balls is right, even if you cant do it right now at least get the motor and put it in storage

My mother has cancer, my wife doesn't work, I'm a volunteer fireman, and I think that you should just ship ME the hemi!
That's right, don't have to worry about it anymore dodgerocker!
Ship it to me, Todd Bouton, at my house, Pearland TX.--then you don't have to worry, you could even deduct it from your taxes!
PS-Wasn't it insured? Then who really owns the engine now, the insurance co? They have been known to sell salvage cheap.

You guys are right with the financial part it will cost a lot. which is funny because I am only 18 and work at lowes hardware for $9.50/hr.
LOL todd your funny.
Actually my grandpa crashed it into his tractor on his farm and the whole rear is gone so i think he said he is going to go buy the 32 ford off of American Grafitti because he knows the guy who owns it. he has tons of cars so it is no loss to him. how much do you think im looking at to get a tranny?

Hey congrats on the motor, dont forget you will need a new transmission, new computer and rear to accomidate a new hemi. Hell those are great problems to have!
