My buddy and I are looking at getting the Robert Shaw 180 T-Stat.....and someone said you could get them at autozone....but autozone doesn't even show a T-Stat available for our trucks...02 R/T and 02 4.7, both 2wd. IF anyone has ordered or knows a local parts store that has them can I have part numbers please???????

Robertshaw part number is GT755-180. This one fits all the magnum engines.

Yes, they are generally located out in the aisle instead of behind the counter.

As far as looking up parts for your motor, the 5.9 has basically been unchanged since '97 when it was in the Ram, so try asking for parts for a '98 or newer R/T, or '97 or newer Ram with the 5.9.

The WON'T have a listing in a book for a 4.7's 180 t-stat! Don't EVEN ask.
Like said, they usually hang on the aisle, in plain view. DON'T ASK THEM IF IT WILL FIT-CAUSE THEN, THEY'LL LOOK IN A BOOK, WON'T FIND IT, AND TELL YOU 'NO'!

When I went they were in the back, I had to get them to let me go back there and dig through the robert shaws till I found the right part number. They did not even show a stock replacment in the computer for my 2002.

LIL DQ: All engine related parts that I have bought for my 2002 R/T I have had to ask for '98 model 5.9 stuff, O'Reilys has the Borg Warner brass cap and rotor if you want one, and you have to ask for 98 model stuff there too. Autozone is very bad about not telling you that 98 or 99 parts will fit 01 and 02 models. Ask folks on this board about parts from now on, they know tons more than any parts employee.
