ok, I just bought a 2002 R/T RC. I see there are a million lists I could join and about a million posts on this particular site. What my question is is what is the BEST way to hot rod just short of a blower and all it entails. I'm talking from the O2 going in to the CO2 coming out. I see a lot of you have been at this a while so is there one answer to this? I'm sure there are Best products that are just that:The Best for an 02 RC R/T. I'm picking up the simple ones like: 3923's, front right rubber thingy remove, edelbrock Pro-flow 1000, 180 deg thermostat, 52mm F&B, M-1, move IAC sensor, 8.5 MSD ignition wires, MSD 6AL, 1.7 Rollers, MP Valve covers...ect, ect, ect...How close am I? Please add to the list and I'll get out my credit card. Thanks, Walt

Welcome to the world of R/T ownership. LOL!!

For an R/T dedicated message board check out - http://forums.delphiforums.com/dakotart/

Lots of good R/T info/owners/help/etc...

I too have a 2002, but mine is a CC. The problem we run into is the PCM. But until a worthy/affordable option is available, we can do bolt-ons, we just won't see 100% out of them yet.

Your wish list above looks good, but you forgot one very important thing - Exhaust. The 2001+ trucks have three catalytic convertors. I dropped over half a second off my 1/4mile ET by just adding 2000 year model Mopar headers, deleting all three cats, using a simm box on the o2 sensors, running 3" single exhaust.

Depending on your area of the country, you may or may not be able to get away with no cats.

Once you let the engine breathe, it'll really wake up! F&B TB, Mopar M1, Headers and Exhaust - Will all work TOGETHER to get the air in and out much better.

You will most likely need to address the PCM computer issue to get your rev limits and shift points raised. Like he said, those of us with a 2002 there are not many options, if I were you I would probably wait a few months and get a Hypertech Power Programmer (right now they only offer then up to 2001 year modles). There is a place called B&G Chrysler in Warren Mich. that re-programms the PCM with advanced timing, raised shift points, torque management and speed limiter removed. He offers a flash for the stock intake manifold or a special flash for the MOPAR M1 manifold. I got the flash for the stock intake and was not impressed at all and did not see any changes.....there are however people who swear by this flash and love it, those who have got the M1 flash. I just feel it was a total rip-off. Not to mention it cost $550 !!!! Also you might want to read about those of us who chose to go to a stiffer rear end gear ratio like 4.10's or 4.56's. Some feel like gears are cheating, but it makes the BIGGEST change than any bolt on mod. Good luck and glad to have you aboard.

Ginther, I had read somewhere that you could send the PCM and get it flashed for something like $600. Have you heard this? I'm in the delphi forum too attempting to get answers as well. Thanks for the info!
