Hey guys,

Well I am going to wait on the S/C for another month, so this month im gonna use some of the tax money and purchase and M-1 from Marty. My question is should I also purchase an intake kit? Mine is stock right now. If so, i was looking at the K&N FIPK and the 360AirIntake (which is on a group buy at dakota-durango.com). Is there another i should look at? is it worth adding with the M-1? any and all info would be nice, thank guys!

I would recomend a ported throttle body before the M1, and the K&N GenII is probably the best you can buy for our trucks(despite the cracking problems) I woudl also suggest headers and full exhaust before M1. You won't be able to see the whole potential of the M1 until you have headers and a TB. And all three will make that SC really work good.

save your money on the air intake and consider
the older open 3x14" type for $6. They flow
more if you do the area math and you won't need to lube them to keep the dirt out of your motor.
Look for the stamped type that drops down around the TB. Some linkages may need modified for clearance. This type doesn't scoop up the sand and dirt that some do that run all the way forward to the core support. Moroso makes them in several anodized colors if you can't find one at a swap meet for $10.00.
