Subject: No $ breathing improvement IP: Logged
Message: I have an 02 EC 3.9 auto and was wanting to improve the breathing a bit. I read somewhere that you could change something behind the grill that would allow air to enter the intake better. Does anyone believe in the Tornado fuel saver or the Vortex valve inserts that are supposed to increase "everything"? Any info would be appreciated.

Message: The thing behind the grill is the rubber flap next to the radiator. Get a cold air intake first. The vortex and tornado things are crap.

Message: If you want the vortex thingy, don't put it on your truck, use it to chop eggs! There are plenty of improved air intakes out there, most of which will hellp alittle, but don't expect to light the tires. My home brew improved seat of the pants driveing, and if you're conservative, it will improve your mileage. JMO
