Message: nah' redryder it's not that were close minded, in fact I have seen a ton of imports that I like. I truly think the push to mod imports stems from the old hot rod days. A guy would scramble up as much cash as possible and work with what he can but the issue these days is, why spend 14-20k on a new tibby when you could slide right into a semi used rt/cobra/z28/firebird etc... and have a legitimate powerplant to work with for much less money! Then you pile on all the lamers that buy these econoboxes and put stickers all over them announcing that they are fast. I think there is a misconception that girls dig it and guys are impressed ... first off your buddies are lying to you, and chicks don't dig ricers! Maybe the occasional skank hoodrat, but seriously ... other than getting an std what are you trying to pull? I'm only 25 so don't think I'm sold old man throwing wasted logic on you, my kid brother is 20 ... I have a dak r/t and a yam r1, he has a 01' GT but HIS FRIEND has a silly looking mitsubishi lancer in yellow! I think it was like 11k brand new or something, his buddy is 21 and both are good looking guys but it's amazing when I'm in town and I see the caliber of women that are attracted to them. His friends name is Tim, both of them are very smart and have a great sense of humor, but since Tim has put himself into this jitterbug circle, I or my kid brother wouldn't wipe our a$$ with these girls. And you HAVE to admit they aren't fast... I'm talking about the common accords/neons/saturns/"tibbys"/and such. If you toss a bunch of money into them you may be able to squeeze out a 15 but rarely any faster so I guess if your in the jitterbug circle of punks then yes... it's accepted but don't try to spread your wings into a forum like this or on the street with a real machine. More power to you man, have fun with your car and be safe just don't expect everyone to understand the hidden secrets within a tiboron bro... we see an econo chick car, you see something else.. to each his own.

Message: Well, that's what I thought you'd say. You know that Hyundai went through a class action law suite, and I won't go into all the details, but the overall thing about the suite is that Hyundai lied about the 2.7L V6 engine output. It only makes 170 HP. If you really owned a Tiburon, then you would have know this b/c Hyundai sent something to everyone (through the mail) that owns/purchased the 2003 Tiburon.

Info to those who own the Tiburon:
Completely redesigned for 2003, the Tiburon has progressed from a sporty economy hatchback to a legitimate sport coupe. And it's the sleekest Hyundai we've ever laid eyes on -- more than a few journalists have compared it to the Ferrari 456GT. The previous generation's 134-horsepower inline four will still power the base coupe, but Hyundai predicts that the volume leader will be the 170-hp Tiburon GT V6. Of course, this Tiburon will cost more than its predecessor, but you can still get into a GT V6 for less than 20 grand. Available features include a six-speed manual transmission, 17-inch wheels and a seven-speaker Infinity sound system. Note that the engines were originally rated for 140 hp and 181 hp, respectively; Hyundai downgraded the output for both in September 2002 (along with all of the other models in its lineup). To compensate, the company is offering owners (of 2000 models and newer) three options: 10 years of roadside assistance, 6-year/72,000-mile basic warranty coverage or 12-year/120,000-mile powertrain coverage.
Now redryder, the moral of the story is don't come here posting BS. Some of us here are actual enthuasiasts, and we track the auto industry every day, every year. I can't help the fact that I am an auto nut (especially for later model cars), but never doubt that I'll call the bluff of any troll or otherwise BS artist that posts here.

Message: Good thing that Dodge finally decided to make a real Neon/SRT with 215HP TurboCharged four-banger.
It's about time they came back to the top with front wheel drive econboxes.
I still prefer a real wheel drive car for real performance. Spinning the front wheels is just not the same!
