Question : I've had my 4.7 for about 6 weeks now . Have already changed the air intake and was looking to make a few more mod's . The stock plug wires are obviously different from what I've seen before , including the wires . What is different about this design ? Also , is there any benefit to changing the plugs and or wires ? If so , what recomendations does everyone have . Any advise would be great .

The 4.7L does not have plug wires it has a coil over plug design. This means each spark plug has its own coil. There currently isn't anything out to replace the coils on the 4.7L, but MSD is going to come out with some. As far as spark plugs, I went with Autolite 3923... One heat range colder than stock and it has a shorter firing tip than the stock Champion 5224. The Autolites are a much better spark plug than the stock Champions. HTH
