Subject: how restrictive is a cat ? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 99 R/T and bought a catco dual-in single out high-flow cat. Would it make a difference is it was gutted ? If so , how much ? Anyone dyno test it with and without ?
BTW , after I had it put on , I got real bad "drone". Way too loud in the cab.

Message: Keep your high flow cat. You wont see any power gain if you gutted it. The drone would increase and it would have a clattering sound under the truck. Only time I would recommend gutting a cat is, if your short on cash and your cat is clogged or you need more exhaust flow because your revving your engine past 6k on your super modded truck :)
