Message: I have true duals. The head pipes are 2.5" with two high flow cats. Then 2.5" out of the cats into the mufflers which are 16" glass pack looking mufflers. Then out of them with 2.25" pipes to chrome tips.

Message: I have tried 3 exhaust systems on my RT and I have found the best compromise between HP and Touque is this. PPH headers into a flowmaster y pipe (2.5" headpipes into 3") 3" random cat and 3" flowmaster deltaflow, stock tailpipe. I have found the deltaflow muffler does not resonate or drone at all. Stock dynomaxx muffler sounded like a glasspack with headers. Not for me. I do not think there is anything to be gained with 3" duals on our LOW rpm/hp/compression engines. I also feel a converter is a good thing--A little back pressure helps with moving a 4280lb truck.
now if you have a gutted 70 Duster that weighted 2800lbs with a built 6800 rpm 360 dual 3" pipes would ne the way to go. just my 2 cents.
