Subject: Lakewood traction bars installed IP: Logged
Message: Got my traction bars on yesterday. Won't be able to tell a differance till I go to the track. Probably would help if I had a posi-track rear end instead of this limited slip crap. Maybe that'll be next. Will post pics on my web-site this afternoon so they'll be available to view later today.

GM's posi-track and dodge's Anti-spin are esentially the same thing...do you have the necessary friction modifier in your diff?
Just my $.02

Message: there are only 3 kinds of differentials, a regular open diff leaved one black mark when you do a burnout, a limited slip or what everyone calls posi allows slippage of the inside wheel during a turn, but in a burnout or straight line acceleration it supplies both wheels with power, this is what everyone has. a True Posi unit is a spool, it allows no slip whatsoever. when you turn the inside tire will spin at the same speed as the outside tire, drag race only cars use this. so when someone says they have posi, sure-grip, anti-spin, limited slip, they are all talking about the same thing.

Message: depends on where you live. box would be about 18" long by 4" tall by 12" wide...probably about 8-10 lbs...i would estimate shipping around 10-15 bucks.

Message: If you have the lakewood Heavy Duty traction bars they fit much better than the econos.

Message: eyetrip and cw, youre both right, they helped about as much as i couldve hoped for...some of the closer races, ya never know..maybe they helped me squeak by. anyway, the econo's (which i have) are a little to long for my application, and interfered with the locating bolts in the leaf springs. could be i mounted them wrong. either way, whatever, ive got bigger problems now (check out 'knocking sound under acceleration" post)
