Hey folks, long time since I posted here...
Ok, so I'm driving home in my 2001 DAK QC with a 4.7 (and a few bolt ons here and there) and stop at a light on a two lane highway that dumps into a single lane.
A Honda Civic wearing a grapefruit shooter exhaust pulls up in the lane next to me.
I don't even think a race is on, never turned O/D off, power brake, etc.
Light turn greens and he floors it, spinning the tires, taking off.
Being the man I am, I say ok, lets rumble and proceed to beat him to the cutoff lane funneling the 2 lanes to 1.
The road is now a single lane over twisty, up and downhill grades, with the speed limit going from 25 to 45, for the next 5 miles.
The Honda is on my ass tailgating, flashing his high beams, beeping his horn, and giving the finger equivalent of his obvious IQ to me, as I observe the speed limit for those next 5 miles.
I turn off this road to go home and yep, he's right on my bumper. (in past situations like this I never drive to, and pull into my driveway)
I come to a stop sign, put it in park and get out.
The Honda backs up...I yell: 'Want a piece of the champ!'
'You want to get down and dirty or are ya gonna run home to your mamma?'
He ran...
What would you have done, whether it be having someone tailgate you over the 5 miles or when you pull up to a stop sign on a quiet road?
And no, I don't think the Honda was trying to get my attention and have me pull over to gush what a nice truck I have and: 'Gee mister, what do you have under the hood!'

That is pretty funny.
I never had any respect for Hondas until I took a peek over at http://www.clubsi.com/ The guys there are totally cool and really know there stuff. On top of that, they totally come down on anyone that resembles a ricer. Many of the cars on that site have been tuned out to produce some impressive numbers, and many are bigtime sleepers.
I still think the high-pitched whine of their cars has nothing on a V8s rumble, but it's nice to see that not everyone who drives a Honda is a ricer.
Plus, it's not like I'd ever give up my Dak for one.

If you want to race ...go to racetrack...You two should had an accident or worst... had to kill somebody... I have a kart 2 stroke 135cc 35hp 5 speed that goes 0-60miles in 4sec.iīve been racing for 4 years with my kart.Try it... Itīs really fast and you have your a$$ 1 inche from the asphalt.Itīs pure adrenaline.If you find him again invite him to a kartrace and see who knows to drive.

Hey Guys, first off, I wouldn't call this a race, it was more like 75-100 yards max of green light fever.
Trust me, no one was involved here except us two and if the conditions didn't warrant our little green light/make it go fast thingy for about 75 yards, I wouldn't have engaged in this activity!
(come on, it is tough to resist someone next to ya, reving his engine, then squealing the tires once the light turns green with a clear road and no other traffic, isn't it? Doubt if we hit the speed limit of 55 on this part of the road that was straight)
Also, I stopped miles from my house (note my statement that I never pull into my driveway when stuff like this happens)...the Honda was the one who appeared to run to his house (I didn't waste my time following him)....but as said, how would you handle a pissed off Honda (or anyone for that matter) in a situation like this...you know, initiate the activity, lose, then get upset and tailgate one's bumper?
Oh well, take my truck out for the first time in awhile and look what happens...

At albertsons where I sometimes decide to go in an work. I was walking outside to go site on the side of the building where I like to hide from work. A friend was with me. A guy in a NEW mini van is doing aprox 30-35 right in front of the store. My friend yells SLOW DOWN. The old fart locks his breaks up and gives us the finger. My friend goes, excuse me? The guy proceeds to bitch and cuss us out. My friend said he would call the police since he was speeding through a parking lot full of children as well as adults.He goes, I don't see a speed limit sign. I go, get back into your soccer van and leave. He goes, im going to kick your little bastard ass. As he throws his seat belt off he gets tangled up in it and falls out the van. it was the funniest thing iv ever seen. At this time my friend had ran off down the street. Just had to laugh. Thought yall might get some laugh out of this too.

I've got 100 stories i could share... pissing people off and getting chased rules. Spare me the "immature" speech, I'm a teenager and I "think I'm invinsible" right? Okay ;-) ... anyways, my favorite thing to do while being chansed is pull onto a road called Old Garrett. It's nothing but sand and gravel. Once on that road, I come to a complete stop, open my door, and start yelling at my victim. Naturally they get out and start walking towards me (always the tough redneck type), meanwhile, I'm jumping back in my vehicle and I start endlessly spining my tires, pelting them with tons of rocks. I speed off and they cant see anything for all the dust. I win.

What's really funny is how BRAVE these guys actually get. Don't they realize that they are just driving our recycled beer cans and they have absolutely no chance in hell in a road rage battle against a truck??!!!

If I get tailgated I smack the brake. Someone screws with me I punch the botton on my truck box and pull my folding saw (looks like a knife with a two foot blade) never had much get past that. I guess seeing a six foot almost three hundred pound guy with a shaved head, biker jacket, and steel toed boots (with the steel showing through a hole) getting out of a pick up truck covered with violent slogan bumper stickers and dents freaks people out.

Some punk kids in an early 'lude decided to tailgate this biker. The biker changed lanes, they changes and got up on his ass. They were right next to me laughing their ass off. I was able to swing in front of them and then put on my brakes. They tries to pass me, but it's was a piecer and can't. Those little fukers. You do not mess with a person on a bike, ever.

you guys have to stop the road rage. Things like this get out of controll and people can get killed. Trust me...I had an idiot up my but one day comming home from the range. I pulled over to let him go but he thought he was king sh*t. Came up to my window wanting to kill me...that was untill he saw my friend Smith & Wesson in my lap. A stainless .357 staring at you is no fun! He said he was sorry and went on his way. All of this because I was going slow looking for an address.

Every time I get tailgated I just laugh when I think of how quicky a downshift to 2nd or 3rd (depending on my speed) can slow me down w/o ever turning the brake lights on...
...then I wish trucks today didn't have such wussy bumpers :(

Hey, some nice feedback and some cool, fuuny stuff.
The Honda appeared plain on the outside except for the grapefruit launcher exhaust and dark tinted windows.
I've been baited before by these types...they pull up next to ya and rev, look you over, etc, trying to see if you'll stomp it at the green light, so they can brag to their friends: some dude in a big bad truck wanted to race my little car'...I don't bite, I let them make the first move...playing catch up usually isn't a problem.
Re: road rage, I hear ya...seems this Honda was nothing but a sore loser. I used to have a friend who would take down license plate numbers when someone messed with him and with the help of some buddies on the local police force, find the car and, well you can guess the rest.
BTW, what is the most dangerous, reckless animal on the planet?
A woman in a SUV!

I think the woman/SUV craze is there way of making up for what their male lacks...
Anyway, I've been known to race and screw around but all within reason. One day my friend (93' probe GT) and I were coming down the highway and this lady in a 4 door something cut him off and slammed on the brakes so he almost hit her. So I was like oh, pick on the little guy huh. So I cut her off and slammed on the brakes. Then lowered the window hung my arm out and flipper her off as my friend came around and passed us. I sped back up and we were on our way. I have a push bumper on the front and the reciever sticking out in the back so unless they catch me just on the corner, they're screwed.
