Just to inform all..... Chrysler is killing the 3.9 Magnum line in 2003 due to an inability to meet emmisions regulations.

I thought it was because they came out with the new Magnum 3.7 which has more power, torque, & better gas mileage...

Did they kill the 5.2 for the same reason?

Si...

I'm sure that the 5.2 AND the 3.9 have fallen victim to the much-better-engineered 2nd-generation OHC motors.

The 3.7 is available on the soon-to-be-released 2002 Ram, which - by the way - is new for 2002. No major changes that I saw, mostly headlights/taillights and interior.

I live in the Motor City. Detroit, for those of you who don't know. Well, actually a suburb, but anyways...I get to see alot of test vehicles running around my neighborhood. One of the newest driving around is the 2003 Ram. I've been carrying around a camera trying to get a picture of one, but so far, no luck. The basic body design doesn't change too dramatically. A whole new front facia and grille design, and rounded wheel wells are about it. Rumors are flying that there is a new deisel engine in them, also the 5.7L "hemi". I haven't seen a deisel one yet, but the gas powered ones sound mean and seem to get up and go pretty good. Anyways, thats my opinion, I could be wrong...

2000 Red V6 now
2001 Red 4.7 Sport on the way
