Message: O.K. Just want the most efficient muffler to replace stock. Leaving exit pipe the same, want to get the best mileage possible from my 4.7l. Intake already made it sound good, just need mileage. Maganflow?Flowmaster?Gibson? Any advice would help

Message: I've had Gibson, Dynomax, MBRP, and Flowmaster. I like Flowmaster the best with MBRP second. Gibson and Dynomax are too quiet.

Message: Cherry bomb glass pack. $29.99 at autozone. Loud and pretty unrestrictive.

Message: What about a better flowing muffler without the noise. Noise does not mean power.
A muffler that's about the same as stock in the sound department but will give an increase in horsepower. If there is such a thing.

Message: I've got a magnaflow #14256. It's all stainless. It's not much loude than stock. Now my truck just sounds like a throaty V8. It's not abnoxious even when I gun it. It just sounds good. I hate loud...I just wanted to benefit from the unrestricted flow. The magnaflow has a straight-through design.

Leave it alone!! Or loose some tq, and get a different sound. If you just need mileage, I'd leave it alone!!

Message: So have you noticed any increased mileage with the Magnaflow? That is the one I am leaning towards. I wouldn't mind a throaty, slightly louder muffler, but mainly want to get better than the 10-13 mpg I get right now.
