Subject: what is EGR ? IP: Logged
Message: I was wondering which M-1 2-bbl I need for my truck? Its a 2001 R/T. Do I need the ERG or the none EGR and what is EGR?

Message: Exhaust Gas Recirculation. Takes some of your exhaust and re-routes back thru your throttle body. Reduces emissions (and performance).
2000 4.7 CC auto, clear corners, Magnaflow catback, Kenne Bell s/c.

Message: You dont need an egr m-1 because they stopped the egr awhile back so just get the non egr manifold and you will be good.

Message: Your truck does not have an EGR system so there is no impact on incpection or emissions. If you get the M1 with EGR passage, the passage has a plug which you leave in to keep the passage closed.
