Subject: M1 Flash Installed IP: Logged
Message: Well I test drove my durango after the recieving the M1 Flash. The shift point is around 5,000rpms... and it should be around 5,400 right? There wasnt nearly as much gain as I've heard of people getting... do you think they accidently gave me the regular flash?
Grrrr.

Message: it is probably because you have a heavy durango, compaired to not as heavy dakotas...
you might be able to call and see if they remember which one they gave you.
you can probably shift it yourself at 5400+

Message: oh, give it about 200 miles to adjust..usually the performance gets better as the PCM learns what is going on. (if you already did this, nevermind.)

Message: Finally, someone is as disappointed as I am. I just got mine back on my 2002 R/T, I got the regular flash, with advertised shift points of 5100. It shifts at exactly 4900. It was 4800 stock !! Ive talked to two different people who got this flash the same week as I did and they are "amazed" at the gains. I just dont see it. $500 bucks for 100 more rpms on the shift is a little bit expensive. I really cant tell any difference. They tell me it will get better.

Message: bg did them, and i got the m1 flash and im positive it made a big difference,my truck drives totally different, no more fishing for gears, and much more throttle response and more power, i have a 2003 cc r/t and i now shift at 5400, and thats w/out the m1 installed yet, will be here soon, but i have no reason to lie about the results of this flash, it really did work for me, and i highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pcm flash.later.

Message: Man that's not to bad for a v-6. I know it's a v-8 buy the sound of the exhaust note, it also helps if you mash the excellorater to the floor.

Message: i have heard people have had to run 91-93 octain with the M1 flash, and even with that gas, it still pinged once in a while...
are you having detonation probelms at all?...maby you can send it back, and they will get a little more aggressive with it?

Message: Talk to B&G. A friend of mine had his done by B&G for his Durango. When he got it back, he did not feel much if anything and the shift points were not changed. He called B&G and sent it back. When he got it back, big difference in HP. Shift points much higher. I'm not sure what B&G told him for a reason it was not correct. Bottom line send it back.

Message: Is it just my media player, or does the first 3 seconds go by in like 1 & 1/2 seconds?
If it's a V6 then 0-60 in 9 Seconds seems good. But what's the use in stock shift points with a BG M1 Flash?

Message: My sounds is also off, peak RPM sound is in second gear at 3500rpm's. Sorry either it's a bad recording or something fishy. Making it look faster than it is?

Message: No I didnt mess w/ the sound or anything and it's a 5.9. I played it back on a computer at work and it seems fine. Try downloading it to your harddrive before watching it, IE is crappy about sound in movies when it's trying to steam them...
But anyways, I talked to the guy @ B&G and he said that it sounds like my TV Cable is not adjusted properly. But he told me I can send it back if I want and he'll double check to make sure everything is right.

Message: Before you mess with the TV, which could cause your tranny to break. Just put the tranny into 1st or 2nd and let it hit the RPM limiter, don't worry the fuel will cut off around 5250 if it's stock, if you do have a custom flash then it will let you pass the 5250-5300rpm mark. Just keep you eye out and make sure it doesn't hit 6k.

Message: I had mine done last year on my '02 R/T CC. I noticed a big difference in throttle response and have been running 92-93 octane since the flash. Due to several reasons, I didn't drive the truck much thru the summer (stored now because of Canadian winters) but the couple of times I pegged it thru first and second, tach seemed to show around 5200 shifting into second (give or take 100 rpms) Still doesn't spin the tires as easily as I thought a 5.9 torque motor would though............
