IMHO, Gibson is too quiet.

I have a 4.7L '03, CC, 3.92LSD.

I opted for a nice magnaflow muffler and kept the stock stainless pipes. It sounds GREAT! Not too loud especially at cruise. When I take off from a stop there is a nice rumble but not so much as it is disruptive inside the cab. It just sounds like there is some power under the hood.

I think you and I had the same thing in mind for the "head turn" factor without the obnoxious "noise".

YMMV

I bought the Gibson 3" sngl. cat-back for almost 400 bux. I shoulda just bought the muffler and had someone "cut it in". Anyway , I like the Gibson. Its a stright through design , and has a nice mellow burble. Not too loud either.

I have the Gibson Muffler on my truck and had custom piping cut up. Trust me you will be very happy with the sound and performance.
