Monty-DC changes the programs and circuitry
every year it seems. It won't work. I have a
2001 also. Your only choices are Kenne Bell
or ASE. ASE changes a chip and from what
has been posted, has no gain. I chose the
Kenne Bell flash. After having it for a month
now. I'd say I like the way the tranny shifts and
it picked up from what it was before. But I feel
there is so much more tuning that can be
done. I can run 87 octane in it and it doesn't
ping. I took it to the dyno yesterday and it
pulled 229 rwhp. I've done the HO cams and
HO intake, 72mm F/B, and a full 3" exhaust
and have a shaker hood.

Chipster's right. I swapped the PCM in my 02 with one from an 01. Defaulted to limp-in mode and ran like crap. Pinouts on the connectors are totally different.

Gibson Dual Sport, AirForce One air intake, Jet II, Jet TBS, 180 stat, IAT, TPS, no viscous fan, Lakewood traction bars, "Wilson" antenna ball...when are we gonna see some real parts??!!

Chipster if you can run just fine on 87,why do the recommend 91+? More performance? I wanted to get the flash done but with my quadcab and shell on their my mileage is already crappy and I didn't want to have to fill up with 91 every time. Do you always run with 87 with no problems?

Ian--No I don't, I usually run 89 on the street
and 91 at the drags. Kenne Bell is the only
option us 2001 guys have. ASE is bogus.
The Optimizer is a good flash, but from
talking to and reading posts from guys with KB
superchargers, the same thing is apparent.
His products are very conservative and for
street use only. He is not interested in any
tuning beyond his stock products. I think there
is alot more advance that could be added.
If you can spring for the extra octane, the
Optimizer will help you move that QC out off
the line faster. Your mileage should not be
affected, if you drive the same.
