I was rolling down the highway last night, came up behind a GT Rustang, he was in 3rd, making noise. There was a lane about to open up on the left, I knew he was going to launch into it.... after a few seconds of consideration about what my g/f would do.. I dropped into 3rd and launched with the Mustang. I was about to pass him, he had it floored.... when I smacked 117 and died off!! I was friggin' pi$$ed!
Anyway, I can't wait to get rid of that speed limiter!

(shamefully, I'll mention that this was a 4.6 GT :-)

Im all for wreckless driving and high speed pursuits but
117 is to fast for any streets. Take it to the track. Im sure
his jaw dropped when he saw a truck doing 200km/h

Secondly, what suspension set up do you have? Im
running a 2/3 drop on 17" r/ts and i KNOW 200km/h is
to fast for it. It still has a truck suspension.

Its all about the person driving at fast speeds.(1)Can that person handle exsessive speeds?(2)Its not ALL in the supension? My truck is a 2001 4.7 cc setting on 15x8 inch not stock wheels and stock suspension and stock height?(3)I do drive that fast on the highway racing some stang that thinks hes fast, but Never would i drive that fast around people, other than the ones i'm racing because i would not want to live with hurting someone else, like someone with a small kid in the car with them, because of my own stuppidity. So i'm with you TEAMFAST if you guys want to race fast and bypass that governer please do so,at the track or at least on some road where you cant hurt someone else.

WOW,

TeamFast, I'm sorry to here that your maintenance regime on your truck disallows speeds in excess of 200 kph. I have a 2002 CC Sport 4.7L and have run it for months with a belltech 2x3 drop at speeds of 220 kph (completely legal) for stretches of 100 - 150 miles, only slowing down for other slower traffic with no problems and instability at all. True enough I run Pirelli Scorpions with a Z Rating, but that is being responsible with the daily speeds.

Now I will no longer be able to run these speeds daily, and would never run like this on City Streets, but if the chance arises to embarrass a kid in Mama’s Mustang on the open highway I will, and not give it a second thought.

Good Luck with upgrading your maintenance on your truck. I look forward to when it will run like a Dakota again. Have a good Christmas in the great north, Aye.

Later,
Lynn

Im not sure if the mainenance comment was a flame or
not. Ive only had my truck to 200km three times. All on
highways up north (canada) where they arent as
smooth a some southern states as i can imagine. Any
whoop or large bump sent the truck floating, causing
me to slow down.
However i drove to and from Ottawa at speeds nearing
200 with no problems. But In the back of my head I
know its fast for something with an ass end as light as it
is..

Ive got some pics of a viper after crashing at 200km/h if
youd like to see them....
keep it pegged, if that aint fast enough, get a bike!
