The R/T took its first(and second)dive into the 14's tonight @ Houston Raceway. The truck went the best of 14.922 @ 90.99. The mods are FIPK, MSD 6A, Flowmaster 40, Hypertech III, and a 180 T-stat. I will soon be adding F&B 50mm TB, hedman headers, and 1.7 RR.

360 R/T, good job always is nice to break one of those barriers. Takes a lot of time and patience. When my new hemi ram gets here im gonna see what she has in her track wise.
WHOOPIE, you obviously live in a fantasy land or are running 1/8th mile tracks.
I have driven a 10 second mach 1 fastback several years ago and it was a helluva ride but it was a professional done job and by no means a streeter. I doubt seriously that you have proof of your 11.2 second 1/4 mile times. If you did you would be posting it at the super chevy and camaro sites and not here. They probably called your bluff as i am and left you no choice but to post on a dodge truck site. Tell ya what you go get yourself a big-ol bag of sand, a hammer , and print up that fake time slip of yours. Then take that time slip roll it up real tight and stuff it down in that bag o sand. Then take that new shinny new hammer of yours and pound that bag o sand right up your ass. ...man i feel better...

14.6 a month ago...now im on snow tires and sandbags with all of the bolt-ons taken off...so im running like a 15.8. pathetic...but i GENERALLY dont race in the snow :)
hopefully seeing 12's in spring!

Actually blown 318, i did spray it. but hey it's still fun, speaking of transmissions i'm waiting on my to be rebuilt. no second gear sucks. but anyway, when you gonna bring that blown truck back over here? we are out on the weekends and have started a car club, gimme a call on my cell phone 225-571-3155. oh and as far as me being a dumbass, i'm not joking when i say it runs high 14's. it is fun to mess with people, yes it is sprayed with a 70 shot. Hey Wesley i remember you, i saw you pass Goldies a couple weekends ago, if ya get a chance come out the Gonzales. i have a friend who would be a good run for you. he's on the bottle, but it might be fun. c ya later

LoL, it's all good. Actually I'm on my third set of head gaskets. I put on some R/T heads now that are O-ringed (I put them on today) and went to the M-1. I have the Split second control box like Scott Q. So once it's all together. I'll be heading to thunder racing to get my fuel problem solved on the dyno with the split second box. I don't even want to talk about the time at No Problem. 13.70 @ 108. Man that sucked. I'll be ready next time for sure.

Good job with the 14 sec pass! Believe me, I know the work and money it takes to hit 14s in a club cab. I went my first (and best) 14sec 1/4 at a private rental of Milan Dragway. Camaro club had it for the evening. Boy were they pissed when their I showed up and whomped on the pre-LT4 cars. In case it matters, I ran a 14.923@92mph. Couldn't believe how well my truck hooked, given the track conditions. It was kinda cool that evening, but still humid. Actually had a 2.2 60ft time. not bad, considering my stock times were 15.937@89mph, with a 2.5sec 60ft time. Good luck with going faster, I look forward to meeting you on the track some day.

I hope you guys realize you talking smakc to a gen2 club cab auto. We're talking a 318 with 2 cylinders cut off. And we have Wesley talking about running against him with a 360? Man where's the competition in Baton Rouge. I'll be more than happy to make a run to Goldies and suck the pain off your truck. Then Daniel can do some more damage with his V6. Hey now, be easy with the mud slinging... I wasn't trying to talk smack. I know better. I've been whooped upon before by much stranger things than v6 trucks. Then again, I've also walked with the 99 Lightnings, before they upped the HP rating. 5.0 Mustangs? rarely get past me. Porsche Boxster S? Had him across the intersection. Audi TT? Walked me like a dog. V6 Dakotas? Had one that took me by suprise. at least until I saw him purge at the next stop light. It's suprising what you can do to any vehicle with the right amount of money, time, and knowledge. Hell ask Bernd what his truck runs!
P.S. My previous truck was a 99 SY RC with the 3.9L stick. I got it into the 15s before trading it in. Hense my nickname, FastRT6Dakota. Now please, enough with the cylinder envy! j/k

update...
i finally ran my truck two weeks ago at a 1/4 mile track (yes afi360, a WHOLE 1/4!). My turbo wasnt done yet and i strapped my brothers nitrous kit on it (he had a nitrous express kit and all i needed was to buy a shark nozzle ($45)). Well i had three passes and the best was a 13.52 @ 103 mph! woo hoo!!!! eight mile time was 8.82 @ 83 mph... kinda slow for a 13.52 1/4 but once again i still am in need of a lsd.
mods:
100 shot nitrous, home brew intake, no muffler, 1.7 roller rockers, mp throttle body, modifed intake manifold, slicks, custom rear suspension, 24 lb injectors, autolites (woo hoo), 180 thermo, no a/c, weight reduction, shift kit, shifter, and a lot more!
last week i had trouble with my turbo but i figured it out and i hope to have it running (again) in two days max. I hope to get in to the 13s with the turbo... if not... a forty shot of squeeze will be in the planning.

its what i had to work with. I got my truck when i was 18 years old making 7 bucks an hour... Yes, i wish i had a V8 to start with... but ya know, i couldnt. Besides.... i couldnt find a regular cab, intense blue, sunroof with a V8
when its paid off it will have at least 8 pistons moving it.

I think it is damned impressive to get a V6 truck into the 14's no matter how you do it. And now that I sold my NX, Daniel even has a shot at beating me with his V6.
It is people like you that make me wish I had kept my nitrous. Unless you are in the 11's, then you wouldn't have been sucking the paint off of anything.

I never said mine was 11's. 12's though. Would of been a pretty good race, IMO. What do you run? I don't street race anymore. I new a guy a couple years ago that got killed on Florida by Miss Goldies. 2 jackasses in Mustangs running without headlights hit him as he crossed Florida Blvd in front of Brian Harris Chevrolet. He was on a street bike. The cops estimated them to be in excess of 90mph so they were picking up body parts for a pretty good distance.
