Message: So I was just driving along when all of a sudden this white trash minivan in front of me kicks up some wood off of the road.I couldn't move cause there was cars on each side of me,well I hit it.It knocks off my license plate bracket, scratches the bumper to hell, smashes the oil pan up,busts one of the lines on the p/s rack. Now I love my R/T almost as much as my Harley.Back during the summer this skank rear ended me and the bed came up and smacked the cab.I've got some serious problems with my neck and back so I've had enough.I am going to sell everything and buy a old graintruck and turn it into a death machine and with my sks rifle I'm going to wipe all the scum off the highways of America.

I use to have a piece of crap car and nothing ever happend to it. I really miss not having to worry about something happening. Whats the point in having anything nice, with people not knowing how to drive or having any common sense...

Message: Dude I hear ya.I had a 98 3.9 sport and I would get all wiskey bent and go to the levee by my house and jump it like Burt Reynolds in Smokey and the Bandit. There was no one around so no one else could get hurt.Anyway I tore the hell out of that truck and nothing ever happened to it.Now I have my R/T and I run it hard but I take care of it[I am officially retired from the baja circuit]got it running like it should and this crap happens. Its like the more heart you put into something and some buttrape tries to do ya in.

Message: I guess I'm lucky then, my Dak is an old 92 and no one messes with it. If someone did run into it though, I would be throwing punches if it is their fault. I love my truck very much and have liability only.

Message: I bought my 2002 quad cab back in June. I was at the grocery store about a month after I bought it and parked my truck all the way in the back of the parking lot so no one would park next to it. As I come out of the store, I see this old minivan (parent and a bunch of kids) pull up next to my truck and park. One of the kids open the door smack right into the side of my truck. Talk about pissed! Out of all the spots they could have chosen, they had to park right next to my baby.
I hate ignorant people.

Message: I echo everyones misery.
I have been driving for 17 years without incident. I just got my new 2003 Dakota R/T last weekend on Saturday. I waxed it on Sunday. Some yahooo in a piece of crap Ford decided to tailgate me at 70 mph on wet pavement in heavy traffic Monday morning on the way to work. Needless to say, I left plenty of room around me and other cars as I don't want a thing to happen to my new truck.
This idiot rear-ended me and punched my bumper
into the bed. I got his license and tag number and then he says "I ain't got ner insurance man.
All I can say is that I am glad the man is now serving time, as this guy is a few fries short of a happy meal. I lose my deductable and now my truck is repaired at my expense. The only satisfaction I get is knowing that Bubba is now tailgaiting him at 70mph in prison.....

Message: If it makes anyone feel better, I had JUST finished installing *brand new* 58" chrome sidepipes on my 92 dak. It was sitting parked outside of my house for no more than six hours before I heard an abrupt BANG. I feared for the worst and my feelings were soon backed by looking out my front window. As it happened, the neighbor across the street was working on a car in his driveway. Supposedly, the front wheel was out of balance and he was "testing" it by lifting hte front end off the ground and putting the car in drive, stepping out of said vehicle and inspecting the tire from the front. Unfortunately, he was drunk off his @ss and couldn't move fast enough to catch the vehicle when it decided to leave the sole floor jack. Unfortunately, my truck was sitting directly across the street in the line of fire. I'm lucky my wife called the cops as soon as I went outside to have a cop come to see the incident. Again, unfortunately, I wasn't so happy when I was placed in handcuffs nearly half an hour later for assualt and battery on my drunked, half-challenging neighbor. In hindsight, I suppose it was better that the auto insurance covered my truck truck rather than the homeowners covering my front fence and any damage to my house. If it helps anyone relate, everyone here that said they held back there anger, punching that guy square in the head goes out to all of you angry dak owners who let their conscience get the better of them. Court date is pending ;)
