Subject: Codes? Help? Fast?

I pulled the codes of my truck last night after my truck started dying at idle and when stopping at a lite.

Codes P0108 & P0351

Anyone? Please help/ Is it a map sensor problem?
or something else and the P0108 says something about ignition coil?

P0108 is "MAP senson input voltage above max acceptable voltage"

P0351 is "Peak primary circuit not acheived with maximum dwell time"

I'm not sure what this means for your truck because I have no idea what mods you have done to it. What I would do, have the battery checked for proper charge and voltage. If the battery is weak, it can cause wierd things to go wrong within the electrical system. Believe me, it happened on my truck and swapping the battery cured the problem. Have you done any recent mods to your truck that could account for problems within the MAP sensor circuit or the ignition circuits? Let us know what you come up with.

new heads and cam were done, but it ran fine for the last 6 days without any problems. I wanted to take my Holley 52MM TB off and go back to stock to check lowend power and it did not seem right, so I put the 52MM holley back on and now it is all freaked out. I did a voltage test on the MAPS sensor and it was just at 5.17 volts with ignition on/not running and then i started it and tested it again it was still at around 4.7 volts. I thought it was suppose to drop down to 1.5 or 2 volts at that point, but i am no sure.

I have got this code (P0351) two times before. According to past info, it can be caused by not having a tach adapter on the MSD ignition.

I have reset my computer and it goes away for 6 months or so.

Normal operating range of the MAP sensor is .3-4.3V on it's output line. The power supplied to it is a regulated 4.8-5.1V

Sounds like the sensor may have gone bad if the output is reading 4.7V
