Subject: Squeaking bushings IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys I was wondering if you could give me some ideas. I recently replaced the bushings(upper & lower control arms, & sway bar) in the front end of my 99 RT. My front end now squeaks like crazy. I did a search for this and found some ideas but everyone else was talking about the stock rubber bushings, I now have poly bushings. The lower control arms and the sway bar bushings are greasable so I suspect the upper control arms. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Message: I just had my 2001 QC (2wd) with approx 30k miles in to the dealer this week for a squeaky front end. I had lubed all of the front end bushings, as well as sway bar bushings, to no avail. I suspected that the ball joint(s) were going bad; but it turned out to be the driver's side front hub assembly. It works fine now. Good luck. Steve
