Message: I'm kinda wondering that myself. There's plenty of space for a bigger crank! Our 3.405" crank could easily go to 3.58-3.6" range. Hell, while we're on the subject, why not make it a square engine (same bore and stroke). That would be pretty darn smooth in my opinion.

Message: In talking with KRC, there's no reason to try and make bottom/mid-range torque with this motor (which is what a stroker motor makes). It's too small to make a stroker package very useful. The way to get power out of a small motor is wind the sh*t out of it....
At least that's what we talked about.

Message: Winding it up is good too. I have built several import 4 cylinders to survive at 10,000 RPM's as daily drivers. I had one vechile that I drove as a daily driver set up to redline at 10,000 RPM's and I would shift it at 9,500. I had a header and a 2" pipe into 4' cherry bomb with 3" out let. That thing would scream. I scared the heck out alot of people. The cam was so wild that even with fuel injection and a bunch of electronic tricks raw gas would flow out the tail pipe at idle. I still drive it as a daily driver but took the valve train back to stock and un-did all of the electronic mods and put factory exhuast back on.

Message: I'm not sure about this, but I'm almost possitive that I saw a stroker kit for the 4.7 liter somewhere, but I'm not sure where it was.I think it cranked the cubes up to 330 comething.

Message: Have you seen what them 4.0Ls stroke to. They can take it to the size of our engines. 4.56s and a Kenne Bell is a for sure cure for stroking. That's my goal anyways..
