Hi Guys,
Here's an experiment. Take an airline filter for air tools and connect it to the PCV hose between the PCV valve and intake. Now drive 50 miles and check the sludge it traped.
I have a '98 Dak Sport with a 5.2 auto with 100,000 miles on it. In 50 miles it trapped 1/8" of brown sludge/goo runny stuff. This is suppose to make your engine run cleaner and increase your gas mileage. I would recommend this for new vehicles that you plan on keeping for a while. It will also keep your oil clean much longer.
Try it but get a decent size one or you will be empying it every week!
