 Subject: Need help with K&N FIPK install! 5.9 R/T

Hey everyone, i just got my 2001 Dodge Dakota 5.9 FIPK. I have a 2001 dodge Dakota R/T and I can't seem to get the heat shield put on right. It seems to not be able to fit on a certain, bolt. Do i have to relocate anything? Please help me out, you guys probably went through the same thing I did. Thanks

i also have a 2001 rt and the kn filter kit. i could not fit the heat shield on it either and i followed the instructions to a tee.

hehe, following some of the 'homebrew' instructions i found here, i built mine by hand....for a total cost of $52!!!

Hey guys, its ok. Just one screw didn't fit on the heat shield. No biggy its still holds up strong. I'm very pleased with it, it adds so much more torque off the start! haha I love that sucking noise when I drive.
