Subject: Cylinder Heads for 4.7L IP: Logged
Message: So I'm on the virge of buying the EHO heads on Premier-automotive, site, does anyone know of the HP or Torque gains they will give?
I had read someone said like 40hp but that seems like alot. I plan to put a supercharger on next, but I think the heads would be a smart thing to do first and was curious what I could expect in gains while waiting for the supercharger.
Headers are here:

Message: According to Jonas you can expect to see something like 30 rwhp from it. Of course you could see a little more with the HO cams already in and the exhuast mods. If you DO get these heads, I want to know what you think. I've been on the verge of buying them for a month now, I'm basicly just waiting for the EHO cam to become available, so I can just pull everything apart once...

Message: The first set made are making there way to my doorstep with a set of HO cams. When I get them installed I'll tell you guys how it went. I wont be able to tell you the hp gain's from just the heads as I'll be doing multiple mods, but I'll let you all know.

Message: drOpOff....I hate you! LOL you better dyno
before and after. you've gotta have a low 13 or
high 12 sec truck after all your mods are done.

Message: This sounds like somthing I'll proceed ahead with then. For the sake of everyone here being my only mod change will be the heads, I'll dyno prior to the install and then again after and give everyone an idea of the numbers.
Thanks all for the input.

Message: Are the EVO heads the HO heads?
I know theres different cams ,springs and combustion chambers for the HO heads.
Still the top ring on the 4.7 piston worries me,just how much can it take.
I plan to do a full port and polish on my heads then hit the Dyno.
