If your going to do the supercharger, I suggest you do all the others listed above it first. Except for the supercharger this is what I have on my 4.7L CC 4x4, and it has improved Horsepower and torque tremendously.

For free, a few more ponies, and throttle response can be had my taking off your Belt fan and clutch, with a 180 deg. T-stat, the stock electic is enough, even in hot climates.

Message: the paxton supercharger comes with an intake
and filter, I dont know if you can use the 4" IP
with it, that would save you another $300 if you
know you're gonna buy the paxton. also, if you
have the cash, premier automotive has some
real nice looking EHO heads...looks like at
least a 40HP gain, and mated with a
supercharger, would be huge.

Yes you can tell the difference! I put my stocker back on once to go to the dealer, it was different. With winter coming, unless you live in a particularly hot climate, it won't matter anyway.
Fact is, you can put it back on in ~2 minutes.
I think it's a '7/8 nut, on the fan clutch. pop it with a hammer, normal thread direction, and take that puppy off. The whole clutch and fan are one assembly, it leaves the pulley, which is pressed on anyway, it won't come loose.
YOu can slip it out from the top under the resevoir, don't take anything else off, don't need to.
If it gets too hot on the gauge, put it back on by srewing it on, hand tight, the engine direction of spin torques it on and keeps it tight.
