Message: you can put your factory air box in and hide them in there... or in the intake tube. if you have a purge kit why do you want to hide the idea that you have nitrous?

Message: Those purge solenoids are so LOUD that everyone is gonna know that you have it no matter where it sprays out. I use to use mine to scare people doing their morning jog. Besides, when someone sees a dakota pickup truck beat a Z28 and it has a decent idle... they will get a clue.
oh, and how does that purge kit protect the engine?????? it just gets the less pressurized gas out of the lines so that you can get more/higher pressure gas to the motor.

Message: I hid the solinoids in the cowl of my 5.0
mustang and have the hardline for the purge
just peaking up beween the cowl vent slots.
The solinoids are actually tucked under the
metal part of the cowl. It's totally stealth.
The feed line runs along the inside frame rail
and inside the passenger side front fender.
I ran the line from the solinoids to the nitrous
jet through the firewall and wrapped it with
some of that split plastic wire cover stuff. I also
hid all the relays and wiring and even stashed
the arm, bottle heater, and purge switches in
the ash tray. It works awesome!
You don't HAVE to use the purge every time
you use the nitrous. In fact, you'll get a softer
"hit" by not using it.
Where are you going to hide the bottle?

Message: LOL scuba gear in october in chicago LOL i like the idea though!!
i had no idea the purge was that loud, i was told it protects the engine, as opposed to using the n2o already present in the lines during burnout, thought it'd be cheap insurance, the jacobs nmm should work great though, pending its 'hiding spot'....the bottle is in the bed, if i get crafty i can probably just hang it under the bed in the same spot its in now (passenger front of bed), i want people to have to KNOW their r/t's to find n2o on my truck!!!

Message: yeah, there is no such thing as "cheap insurance" when it comes to nitrous. If you didnt think it would be loud.... just imagine 1200 psi of nitrous coming out of a 1/8th size tube.

Message: Well, guys i have my kit in also....love it!!! Thanks greg!!!
I will get pics up of the whole setup soon.
The pruge valve is good for 2 things, when the bottle is open, purges all of the air out of the line so that the nitrous hits the engine instantly.
Second, when you close the bottle and pruge you get rid of that 1000+ PSI out of the lines. That is a good thing to do if you are not going to be using the juice for a while.
Just to let you guys know my setup (i love it)
NX wet kit w/ 75 shot
purge valve
bottle heater
remote bottle opener
fuel pressure switch,
line pressure on the bottle
3 gauge a piller w/ A/F, pyrometer (exahust temp), and nitrous pressure (all autometer carbon fiber)
the arm switch has a aircraft cover on it ;-)
all switches are mounted on the 5 speed console peice looks really cool (all are aluminum type switches)
also have a "go" switch on my chrome b&m t bar shifter
status lights will be going in soon.
I mounted the micro switch on the TB, most people put it in the cab i think.
Like i said will have pics up soon.

Message: Glad you like it!
when i had it the purge did nothing for performance... i just got it to "intimidate" the competition. And it does make it a lot easier to take the line off to fill the bottle up.
