I have a friend that works at a cheby dealership he works as drivability and he says that the new 03 blazer extremes with the 4.3L V6 will beat my 91 dakota with the 5.2L and 3.55 gears. is this true? I have raced a few Grand prix GT's and have beaten them. I have also raced him with his camry and stayed with him but my truck was not running right at the time now it runs fast. I think the main problem is that i live in GM territory and i LUV dodge because nobody wants to race me. Probably because they know that i would waste them.

I think you might have him. What do you mean by 360 throttle body? Never seen anyone with an older dakota say anything about a 360 TB

First its not the TB like the magnums have mine is a TB Injection unit. I took the Trottle Body off of a 360 and put it on my 318. I've been told they it could take a second off of my 0-60 time which is alot in my opinion it already hits 60 in no time at all. but by swithching the TB I could see a gain of 2-4mpg in gas mileage increase. IF I CAN KEEP MY FOOT OUT OF IT. Yeah Right!!! yates-in-DE what are you talkin about if cows can fly more info would be nice!! Also my truck does not feel much different from a Mustang 4.6L GT

currently I am driving a rental 4.3 sonoma 03,
and it is a dog. it doesnt stand a chance
against any of the V8 dakotas, it might even
have problems with the 3.9's. I know there
was a 4.3 extreme at the track, supercharged
and Nitrous that only ran a low 15. your truck
should run low 15's stock, and the blazer is
heavier than the pickups

I think he is in agreement that the dak will own the blazer. THey use a high output engine in those, right? Something like 250hp. So figure 200-210 and the wheels. It should be pretty funny.
