Message: Got a quick question...99' CC R/T, 30k miles, first owner old man...dont think thing been over 65mph..i own now and she sees well over that..LOL..anytime past 80 rear-end vibrates like i have a wheel out of balance..gets worse faster i go..around 55-65 seems ok...maybe bad gears/diff or worn fluid???..drive-shaft unbalanced..who knows..just wondering if any of you encountered this prob before..thanks for any info...

Message: I would have them balanced first unless you think this may be a good time to get new tires...they should be balanced at the time of mounting anyway..why pay for it twice. Then take it from there.

Message: You have a fairly common problem with the R/T's. DC has a TSB for the vibration that involves replacing the tailshaft of the tranny and replacing the driveshaft. www.nhtsa.gov has a database for all TSB's and recalls by model.

Message: ok i looked it up and it had something listed..what now..dealer will fix or am i stuck paying for it...???what proper steps should i take to get this taken care of...i hate dealing with services writers...thanks for the help..

Message: I hate dealing with them too. It is like pulling teeth to get them to do anything. If you are still under warranty, than you're covered. If not, it is on your coin. I had to print out the TSB and physically put it in the service writers hand for them to even acknowledge it existed. They told me it was only for 4x4 R/T's!?!?!? Its pretty sad when they don't even know their own product.
