is it possible to make a homebrew for the 5.2. If so, is it even worth it since the stock airhat will still be there? Ive been trying to find ways to remove the airhat but i think it will have to stay for any intake i make

You can improve on the stock airhat a bit by placing a spacer between it and the throttle body.

There is also a baffle in the air hat that you can remove and increase flow a little.
