Hey guys, i just put in my Autolite 3923s yesturday after work. Pretty easy job, took me about 45 minutes b/c i had to take the air hat off to get to the front two plugs. I checked the gapping on the Champions i took out and most were about .50, only like 2 of them were at the stock .40. But anyways, im 100% happy after the install. I dont know about most of u guys, but my trucks seems alot peppier. I havent gotten it at speeds higher than 55, but ill tell u what,0-55 seems like i get there alot quicker.
I have read alot about putting in these Colder plugs wont really do much for performance, but it feels like i get alot better throttle response.

This sunday comes the 180 Tstat. Wonder how my truck will respond to that.. hehe.

When I put in mt 3923's I also noticed an increase in throttle responce. I can't complain even though a couple were interesting to remove. Also it smoothed out my idle. I changed mine a few thousand miles ago and it still run great. Also I can't complain about the price.

Glad to hear about the autolites, Harlow will be chiming in anytime now. I've yet to do the plug change, soon.

Nice joke about noticing any gains from the 180 t-stat!

Of course we both know that it helps overall, and for total engine life, not for any noticable gains. It really helps you to keep your cool when removing the belt fan on the 4.7, as I have done this with my t-stat change. Now THAT DOES make a noticable difference in Acceleration.

HornetPC.... what engine do u have and did u install a 180tstat yet??

Todd ... i dont really understand ur last paragraph. Did u get noticable difference in throttle response when u installed the new belt or when u installed the 180Tstat??.. or both??

I don't know if this is true or not, but... in the installation manual that came from KB they said you should put a little dielectric grease inside the plug coils (4.7 only) when you install the plugs. Otherwise, the next time you try to change plugs the coils might be stuck and you could break one trying to remove it from the plug.
As for the 180 thermostat, It doesn't add any power, it just makes your engine run cooler so you don't lose as much performance as you do when your engine runs as hot as it does stock.

YES! Always use anti-seize on alloy heads and Intake. The difference of metls will cause corrosion, then when you go to change the plugs, you may get some thread galling.
