Subject: Raven Muffler??? IP: Logged
Message: Ok, i been calling a couple of my local shops about the dynomax super turbo and most of them don't carry it but i got many compliments on this new muffler called the Raven, and they have one specifically made for the dakota. They told me it adds hp, more mpg(2 miles more per gallon) and they have a quiet, medium, loud tones series of the muffler. It only costs $90 for muffler AND install. I may be goin with this muffler but i wanted to get some feedback from yall to see if this muffler really is good. This muffler is like the rage right now!!

Message: just got one put on this past weekend on my 4.7 (it's "ravin" by the way...not to be a jerk)
absolutely love it....havent gone through a tank yet to check mpg's (but ive had my foot in it a lot...so i dont really want to see it) throttle response seems better, and i got some of my low end torque back also (i had a cool air intake before this). it's a good buy....i got stainless duals and a lifetime warranty for less than what most charge simply for the hardware alone....i say go for it.
email with any more questions
oh yeah.....i love the sound
I'd go crazy if I cared!

Message: So, which is better, the Ravin muffler or the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler. Those are the 2 possible mufflers i'm considering. At first i was getting the super turbo but now i heard of this new muffler of the ravin. So, i'm kinda researching on this ravin. So far, i'v gotten good marks on it...

Message: I've run the Ravin and Flowmaster mufflers (and quite a few others as well)...the Ravin and Flowmaster are identical in performance and sound (no change on the dyno between the two either).

I had a Ravin Z33 installed and had it dump'd right behind the rear axle, the sound doesn't/can't get much better.

Message: I just had a Ravin 55 series installed last week. Nice rumble at idle. Quiet at cruise, but rocks! at full throttle. Very nice sound quality. I kept the stock pipes.

Message: Gent's, let me tell you, I had a Ravin 55 series installed a couple of monthas ago on my 2003 1500 Express van and it is "Awesome". I am in a van club and had to do some type of mod. to my van and that was it. What a difference. Sounds good, looks good (added dual chrome tips, at least 20% better response, and I actually added at least 100 mi. per my tank (31 gals) on the road. Best move I ever made. Rav on Ravin!
