Message: 100 MPH limit sucks wang. I have heard this chip is supposed to work on every truck. But so many people bash chips and all, I was just wondering if anyone has giving this little chip a try .

Message: After looking at their website it looks like you have to let them have your vehicle for a while. The chip is installed and the tuning is done while using a dyno to load the engine as in driving conditions.

Message: Yes there are a couple of people on the Durango Owners Club forum who have gone the Uni Chip route to dial in their combinations (heads, rockers, cam) Note they are doing it on top of B&G flashes. Fastman recommened Uni Chip after he did the work on their trucks.

Message: Thats good, I can see one of these done in Colorado right after I take my truck to Bernd and Tom in Texas on top of the Kenne Bell Flash I already have. Get them to turbo it and then get a UNICHIP done up there in the high country and the truck should run pretty good.
I'm also trying to wait on KRC and see what they do with this new Cam, intake and head combo they are working on.

Message: So can they use this on 4.7L's? Cause there is a speed shop down the road in Naples that sells the UniChip.

Message: I am going to ask the local install shop of these uni chips, and see if I can get any positive feedback, removing speed limiter etc. I know they run 3 dyno tests. The first 2 are so they can make the chip and the last run to show improvements. If it doesnt show improvements, I suppose I could always return it since it didn't work.

Message: Sam,
Let me know what kind of gains ya get and total cost, or there abouts, when you get it done. From reading about it, I've determined its kinda like the little tuner I have in my RX7, With more controls and Dyno needed. I really think it would work wonders on an engine with several good mods already.
Thanks in advance,

Message: I have talked with the techs who work with the UNI-Chip and yes...it is compatible with our systems (and works rather well). We're waiting on our "test/demo" box to play around with.

Message: BTW: Some have compared it to the "FTC-1" from Split Second...it's not even close:
UNI-Chip: Fuel Mappings, Timing Control (Advance & Retard Function), Speed Governor Control
FTC-1: Fuel Mapping, Timing Control (Retard only)

Message: Bernd, let me know. And are you going to become a dealer for them? If so you may get that buisiness from me also.
