Message: ESPI,
1)1.7 roller rockers cost around that much and add up to 20hp.
2) For under $150 you might want a trans-go shift kit, it doesn't add horse but will cut your et's. It will feel faster and make your trans live longer.
3)If available for about $500 you could get MP performance tri-y headers and get about 15-20hp and more important up to 30 ft-lbs. I would only look at this type or full length 4 into 1 over shorties. The four into ones require custom exhaust tubing made that will make it cost more.
After these mods then I would look at modified/billet Throttle bodies $250-$500.
Good luck

Message: If you are worried about your warranty-- a TB is good, keep your stock TB-- switch back if you go in for any warranty work.
1.7s-- if you go with rockers, they won't know they are in there (if something does go wrong with the install-- you might are on your own- swap back the stockers).
A shift kit is definately a warranty killer (for the trans).. It's not something you can undo later (without replacing the valve body).
The MSD ignition is a waste of money unless you run N02 or a SC.

Message: Ive been running the Flowmetrics Throttle Body and have been really happy with it. Definately a lot more high end power, especially if you have an intake kit. Unfortunately, I made the big mistake and am now selling it because I am getting married...
If your interested, it's currently for sale on Ebay.

Message: If you can find tri-y like the mp performance, I would definitely get them first. They will probably give you 5 more horses and 15 ft-lbs of TQ over a throttle body.
