ok so this weekend i plan on making my own intake, installing 3923 autolites, and 180 thermo stat. i need a little help on what im suppose to get to make the intake. i know i need a filter, but what part number, and will PVC pipe work fine or could it melt? is there anything else i need to get? thanks

pvc pipe should work fine, and just get any cone filter.

I used K&N P/N RE-0920 if that helps. It has a 3.5" ID so it slides right over the OD of 3" pipe.

so i got a 180 t stat today but it wasnt the robert shaw, it was the superstat by Stant, the guys there told me this was the one i should get. does anyone know if this will work fine or should i really get the robert shaw??

dosent really matter. just make sure it has a safe guard on it, so if it fails, it will not over heat the engine.
