Message: I know SpeedTweaks has the modification posted on how to drill out the factory TPS Sensor and rotate it to increase the sensitivity. Does anyone out there produce/manufacture an "aftermarket" TPS Sensor that you can do the adjusting with? Very curious.... I know this mod however I get it done... should make a huge difference since it shifts into 2nd @ 10mph even under 1/2 throttle.
I just installed my Mopar Performance PCM and got my tranny worked over by a local professional. I am quite happy so far. Massive difference... probably from the tranny work I suppose. I "feel" like it has 20-30% more "go" on the city streets now. I don't drive my truck hard, unless getting on GB-190. ;)
My 2nd gear band only had about 50 miles left on it.. looked terrible... can't believe that tranny looked so bad at 43k miles.
Thanks in advance!!!!

Message: The TPS mod doesn't affect shifting just throttle response. No one make a adjustable that I am aware of.

Check your key-on voltage first from center wire to ground. If near .7v skip mod. Mine was .65 and mod allowed adjust to .7volts. Noticable off-idle throttle response ipmrovement. Takes 10-15 minutes and worth it.

Message: Thanks for the info on the TPS. I checked on it at Autozone and it was about $30... just in case I screw it up. ;)
So can anyone tell me why the blasted thing wants to prematurely shift into the next gear as you take off from a light? I can't stand it. I've rode in a few others that do the exact same thing.
What actually tells the tranny to downshift even when you just "slightly" mash the gas to pass on a city street?
Thanks!
