Subject: Question about chips. IP: Logged
Message: Just a quick question about power chips. I know if I get the Mopar chip, it will not void the warrenty, but if i get a jet chip will it void warrenty? Which one is better on performance? Thanks for help in advance.

Message: The only one available for your engine is the Jet. I wouldn't leave it on there if you're taking your truck in for warranty engine work.

They can't "legally" void your warranty without proving that the aftermarket part is the cause of the problem.

If you are going to put a Jet chip in your truck, you need to run at least 89 octane gas to keep spark knocking to a minimum.

Message: Actually if you run the Jet Stage II the recommendation is 92 octane.
