Message: u don't even need the cat. toss it. leave the o2 sensor in.(anywhere)and remove the pcv vlve and hose from ur valve cover to the intake. put a breather on the vlv. cover and a vac cap on the intake. there is no real reason to even have a cat if ur not burning the crankcase fumes. and yes u will get a good voltage reading from the 02 to the pcm

Message: LOL you are funny. If you remove the cat you can end up with rouph idle and check engine lighs. You can get a 02 simulator from speedtweaks.

Message: CW, I havn't had a cat on my 98 in over a year with no mil light or codes. The only reason for the cat in the first place is to burn the fumes and emisions mostly from the crank case, and I don't have an o2 sim. don't need one cause without the pcv being sucked into the Tb it allows the tb to increase 02 level

Message: I didn't say you would end up with a mil light I said it can end up with a check engine light. The cat has nothing to do with crankcase vapors. That is what I was lauphing about.

Message: Are you sure you have precats on a 99' far as I know they weren't introduced until 2001. You can give it a try without the O2 simm but you have been warned. Poor fuel milage is part that may happen as well.

Message: the o2 sensor behind the last cat is to measure the how well the converter is funtioning. all trucks and cars after 1996 have obII and taking the o2 sensor out usually will set a code putting the check engine light on and i think the computer may try to compensate for this.
also technically it is illegal to alter fed emisions even putting extra converters on my state checks this. good luck
