Subject: Accel 300+ question

Message:
Hi All,

I put this on the V6 and there doesn't seem to be much response so I am posting on the performance board.

I was interested in the Accel 300+ Ignition system. I like the plug and play concept. I also believe they have a CARB cert is pending. Does anyone have this system? Any noticible improvements over stock? MPG? Is it worth getting for $315? Thanks in advance.

Can't say how it will work in your Dak.. but I have one in my '64 F100 Ford (running a built '70 351W) and really like it.. simple to install and a noticable improvement over the Duraspark (but what isn't).. my '01 QC 4x4 Sport (4.7L) is not quite ready for many performance improvements yet..

Been running it for almost a year now. Works just as good as my old MSD Digital-6 system (doesn't have timing retard function though).
