Subject: Intense Blue Paint P/N and where to buy? IP: Logged
Message: I went to Autozone yesturday to get a 180 T-Stat and to order the Intense blue spray paint. Well i asked the guy working the parts counter if he could bring up the paint p/n in the computer and then special order it if they dont have it in stock. Well he entered the P/N in the computer and couldnt find it. I have this P/N for the Dupli-Color Spray paint.. P/N: T359. Is this the correct number??.. If not, then what is??... and Since they said they dont have it, Where can i get ahold of this paint??
thanks in advance!

Message: Autozone sucks... i went there for the same thing and they couldnt order it. Went to the shelf and saw T358 and T360.... went over to ORielly's and they had two cans in stock. You can get it directly from duplicolor at www.duplicolor.com. I have also heard from intense99dak that you can get it at NAPA.

Message: mine is also a sport but i dont have a back bumper. i did paint the black front bumper blue... all i have done so far is scuff it with a 400 grit sheet of sand paper and put about three coats of paint on it... being very light to keep it from dripping. it looks really good right now... a perfect match (my truck is a 98 model)! its just not shiney because of no clear coat or buffing. All i plan on doing next is to sand it with 400 or 600 grit and through down some clear coat and then wet sand the crap out of it. i also plan on doing my dash and different door pieces.
good luck!

Message: get wet/dry sand paper... sand the surface that needs to be sanded with that type of paper and have running water go over the surface... a garden hose left on is a good source. its a little messy but makes for a smooth surface. i have only done it a couple of times so i am no expert at it.

Message: You can also wet sand by using a bucket of water and keep the area, and sand wet. It saves water that way, a little anyway. If you put a few coats of clear on it, you can give it a few months then wet sand with 1500 grit sand paper then buff it out and it will really shine. I was talking to a guy at car show (a 55 Chevy Nomad) and he told me he washes and wet sands it every year and it looked fantastic. Of course he had a lot of money in the paint job to begin with, plus I think he said he had 7 coats of clear.
Good Luck
